This stunning Mouawad Sapphire and Diamond Parure Suite is comprised of 4 related yet distinctive pieces–including necklace, bracelet, ring, and pair of earrings, all featuring a dazzling array of baguette diamonds arranged in sunburst halos, double halos, and glorious ribbons, with an estimated total weight of 138.84 carats, encircling and dancing around five blue sapphires with an estimated total weight of 52.14 carats. The suite is crafted in platinum and made in the 21st century, but the opulence of the geometric pieces tightly set with jewels could easily be from the Great Gatsby’s heyday a century before. As a whole, the parure suite sparkles in an intriguing manner like light glistening on rippling water.

The necklace sets the spectacular tone for the suite, with two flowing lines of baguette diamonds oriented widthwise and converging in a V on the stately pendant. The pendant features an oval sapphire with an estimated weight of 18.97 carats. The sapphire is accompanied by a Swiss Gemological Institute (SSEF) report stating it is a natural corundum blue sapphire of Burmese origin with no indications of heating, making the naturally occurring “blue of strong saturation” even more exceptional. The sapphire is surrounded by two concentric sunburst halos of baguette diamonds, embellished with a third demi arc of baguette diamonds at the top, tightly set against one another and fanned out in a most splendid manner. The pendant is detachable, allowing for versatility beyond measure.

The bracelet most closely mirrors the necklace, with a few variations, featuring a flexible double strand of baguette diamonds, this time oriented lengthwise, which diverge as they approach the cushion-shape sapphire with an estimated weight of 12.86 carats. The sapphire is accompanied with a Swiss Gemological Institute (SSEF) report stating it is a natural corundum blue sapphire of Burmese origin with no indications of heating, again making the naturally occurring “blue of strong saturation” quite prized. The value of these featured stones is further amplified by the fact that they are unheated, whereas the majority of coloured gemstones on the market have been heat-treated to improve the colour saturation. The sapphire, oriented to match the necklace, is surrounded by two concentric sunburst halos of baguette diamonds, embellished on either side with demi arcs of baguette diamonds.

The ring and earrings relate to each other stylistically, with single sunburst halos of baguette diamonds encircling the centre sapphires. In the ring, the sapphire is a cushion shape with an estimated weight of 10.91 carats. In the earrings, the pair of sapphires are round with estimated weights of 4.63 and 4.77 carats The sapphires are accompanied by reports from the Swiss Gemological Institute (SSEF) stating they are natural corundum blue sapphires with indications of heating.
