A gorgeous 1930s Art Deco ring crafted in platinum and featuring three sparkling Old European cut diamonds. The centre stone is approximately 0.82 carats (I-J colour, VS2/SI1 clarity). The stunning centre stone is flanked by two additional diamonds weighing approximately 0.39ct and 0.37ct respectively (H-I colour, VS2/SI1 clarity). Set in a charming hand carved filigree mounting with fine milgrain detail and accented by approximately 0.60 total carats of round and single cut diamonds to complete this stunning design. Description
This stunning Art Deco engagement ring was created around 1930 but features a much older Diamond center stone. The main Diamond is an Old Mine Cut which was faceted pre-1900, and was likely re-set into this mounting to make a more modern look. It’s amazing that this ring was modern in 1930, yet is still fashionable today. The rest of the ring features single cut and transitional round brilliant cut Diamonds for a 3-stone look which sits low on the hand for comfortable everyday use. While this was originally designed as an engagement ring, we think it would also look great on the right hand as an anniversary ring, or whatever you want it to be!
