The design was created as the fifth-generation effigy, but serves as the sixth-generation effigy on Australian coins. It depicts the Queen in right-profile relief with the George IV State Diadem Crown.

A powerful adult tiger is depicted in the reverse design of 2022 10 oz Gold Lunar Tiger Coins. This design shows the tiger walking along the edge of a rocky cliff using its massive paws to grip the edge of the rocks. The beast looks back over its powerful, muscular frame to roar and showcase its razor-sharp teeth. This design features on all of the gold bullion coins in the series and the 1 oz platinum coin. This side of the coin also has a micro-engraved security feature in the form of a letter you can only see with the aid of a microscope.
